Welcome Back, Chris!

Tuesday, February 26th at 7:00 am, Chris Davis will make his triumphant return to the podium after a year away! A seasoned performer, Chris’s classes offer an incredible workout set to super fun playlists—with a little bit of extra love for the 90s/early-2000s hits that will make it difficult to avoid singing along. We caught up with him to discuss what he’s been up to since we last saw him on the instructor bike, what we can expect from his classes, and where he might be found outside of the studio (hint: he’s likely to be flanked by his amazing wife, Molly, and their two adorable girls, Bea and George).

What have you been up to in the time since you were last teaching?

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since I last taught! In that time, we welcomed another amazing daughter, George, joining big sister Bea in our family of four. So…I’ve been up to silly faces, trampoline park adventures, enjoying family close by and constantly being in awe of a toddler’s endless curiosity x2.

What inspired you to return after taking a break?

Now that we are settling in and getting a little more sleep, I found I was really missing the weekly routine of sweating it out with this community. It gets tougher and tougher to make time for yourself, but it’s needed. I’m grateful for the opportunity to come back to the podium. There’s nothing like starting your day by crushing it at Rêve!

For the Rêvers who haven't taken your class before, what might they expect?

I’m a goof who has always felt a headset microphone is right up there with deodorant as a daily essential.

I love to ride hard to the beat and show up with lots of energy to share. I like to bring in my experience as a cyclist to the spin studio*, and lightly sprinkle in my passion for performing on stage. As for music…I cover it all—with a bit of a bias towards the 90’s/00’s.

*Chris was the captain of the Rêve Trek Across Maine team!

What are a few songs that are currently in your heavy rotation?

Mostly kid songs that I won’t bring to the studio, but who knows, maybe if Baby Shark had the right beat….

What are some of your favorite things to do outside of the studio?

I love running the trails on the Presumpscot River, cooking at home with Molly and exploring the playgrounds of greater Portland with my daughters. I have been on the board of Maine Ad + Design for 3 years and have a passion for connecting people and opportunities in Maine.

Join Chris on the bike each Tuesday morning at 7:00 am for a workout you won’t want to miss.
