Looking Back on 3 Years of Rêve

This week, we are celebrating 3 years since Rêve opened its studio doors. Over this time, we have grown in exciting ways and witnessed the creation of a powerful Rêve community. To reflect on this, we sat down with our fearless leader, Stephanie C., and asked her some questions about her favorite memories, some lessons she's learned as a small business owner, and what to look out for in year 4! As you reflect back on the last three years, what are some of your favorite Rêve memories?

I’m a sucker for special events so birthday rides, pre-wedding rides, and other special events are always at the top of my list. But one of my all time favorite moments was when I was riding in class and I looked around at a room full of 35 riders and, for the first time, I realized not only that I knew everyone in class but that most of the riders knew each other. The idea that Rêve could be more than just a place to exercise but a community that collectively pushes itself every ride is truly one of my favorite things.

What is one lesson that you've learned?

Never be afraid to ask for help. I learned very quickly that you can’t do it all. Finding wonderful people to ask for advice and support has helped grow Rêve into the wonderful community that it is today! Rêve wouldn’t be the same without all of those people.

What are three words you would use to describe the Rêve community?

Dedicated, Inspiring, and Spunky!

What are you most looking forward to in Rêve's 4th year?

Now that our rider community is so solid, I’m most looking forward to getting more involved in events outside of the studio. Rêve has a rocking Trek Across Maine team, and it would be great to bring all the traits we embody in the studio to more events, while fundraising for such great causes.

What are a few of your favorite, timeless songs?

As most of you know, I have new favorites every week. I think two of my  all-time faves would have to be: All the Way by Timeflies and Dreams by Life of Dillon.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I am so grateful for those who have been unconditionally supportive through this journey and for the community we are building at Rêve: our team of instructors, desk managers, and our incredibly supportive riders. Together, you all make Rêve the fun and inspiring place I hoped for when we opened the doors to the studio. Happy Third Birthday, Rêve!

And don't forget! We will be celebrating Rêve all morning on Saturday, May 28th with cake from Scratch Bakery and some other fun surprises. We can't wait to see you there!
