Maine YogaFest - Celebrating Our Yoga Community

This past weekend over 500 yogis biked, walked and carpooled to the first annual Maine YogaFest. We love our healthy and happy Portland, Maine community and this gathering was just another example of how mind, body wellness can bring people together, just like we aim to do here at Rêve!Blog1Blog4Blog6 The Maine YogaFest was brought together by the dream, or Rêve, of three women and materialized with support and involvement of over 30 local studios, offering more than 40 courses over 2 days. The diversity of classes proved the versatility of yoga off your mat; Slackline Yoga, Paddleboard Yoga, Hooping, Yoga for Athletes, dancing and even the little ones were included in Story-Time Yoga for Kids.

"By raising awareness of the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga," writes Maine YogaFest in their mission statement, "we hope to strengthen the yoga movement and culture in our beautiful State."Blog3

Mindful nutrition was easily accessible with local vendors such as Kids Gone Raw, Mojo Health Bar and multiple local food trucks.
